Roll Call: Where are you from?

Hello everyone just wanted to know where each and every one of us is from.  Think this would be a cool thread if any of us travel we could link up and give tips on where to shoot if someone is in the neighborhood.

I’ll start off.  I am living in Chattanooga, TN at the moment.

The best place to shoot so far is Market Street and Broad Street, as I just moved here, still figuring out the times to go out, but evenings and weekends seem like the good times, since right next to the college and main strip for all the bars.

Calgary AB

Stephen Avenue, Inglewood, Bonnybrook, Heritage Park are my usual fishing holes in town

If you’re here for Stampede, the Stampede Grounds and Midway

I like going into the Mountain Parks in the spring for the wonderful cloud-scapes

From London, now based in a small town, Brecon, in Wales, UK. I’d hoped to be out and about shooting exciting places near and far but now not shooting any street as I can’t get about due to falling off a kerb / sidewalk in May, the bummer being job offers in Hong Kong and Chicago fell through in April too. Counting the days healing, so hanging out here and cramming on books, the EK blog and experimenting with my kit.

I’d gladly meet up or host like minded folks, as unlikely it is you would find yourself in my neck of the woods!

So here’s one from my working in London last year before I’d even thought about buying a new camera….

Hi, I’m from Atlanta, Georgia. The best places to shoot right now are in and around the downtown area as well as midtown and surrounding areas. Atlanta citizens love their cars, which make it more challenging to find a lot of foot traffic, but there are pockets where you can find a good bit going on and plenty of diversity. Cheers!

I have been shooting on Peach Tree as of late, been loving it.  Need to make a trip back down to ATL Im only 2 hrs away.

Andrew-Bede here, living in a very small hamlet in the East Midlands of England called Pleasley Vale—if you think Robin Hood & Sherwood Forest you are about right! I am a Benedictine and these are a ‘selfie’ of my hands at prayer. have a Canon 80D but use more often as not my Panasonic Lumix TZ-60 which I carry about with me all the time. Use my photography to enrich my spirituality and I am increasingly finding that street photography does just that.

Hi, I’m from Lübeck, Northern Germany, a beautiful medieval town. Also I spend as much time as possible in London, the home of my heart.
I love doing colourful and funny/cheeky photos.
The guy in the front reminded me of Daffyd from the TV series Little Britain.

I’m originally from Sweden but just came to Melbourne and it’s great for photography. There seems to be a vibrant film-photography community here and there’s lots to see.

As a newcomer to the city, I don’t have any expert advice, but so far I’ve enjoyed photographing at the Southern Cross rail station (beautiful shadows and lights) and just walking around in the city center and in some Eastern burbs.

Vicki Seabrook, here .  Originally from NY , but moved to Portland Oregon 6 years ago.

Best place to shoot is downtown but honestly, anywhere in this city!  On the east side near Hawthorn or Division or Cathedral Park on a weekend are also great.

Salt Lake City/Provo, UT over here! Any other Utahans?

Best place to shoot honestly has to be anywhere close to the metro lines (Frontrunner/UTA Bus/Trax) close to night. Lots of people, especially if you’re at a station like North Temple headed to the Airport.

I have been wanting to get out to Utah forever more so for some overlanding, camping and rock crawling.

I like shooting downtown Redlands, Riverside and try to head to San Diego and LA whenever possible.

Best place to shoot in Miami is probably Lincoln Road and up and down Washington ave and Collins Ave.

I’m from the San Francisco Bay Area.  In the short time I’ve been doing street photography (actually, photography of any kind – only about a month!), I’ve shot primarily in San Francisco and some small coastal towns in Northern California.
