quick question for you guys. I am currently offering limited prints of my my work at 24×36 and some at 40×60.

I was thinking of doing some smaller prints (12×18) + frames. What size prints would you recommend. Keep in mind that the work will be framed.

And there was I getting excited about doing my first 10×8’s 😀

Can you do that size in house or via studio / lab? Did you ‘audition’ the print materials to see what gave the best result?

I have a lab I go to thats been in business for over 50 years. they can do 40×60 for me C:

they have some really nice papers I can get some 12×18 printed for around 24 bucks. they would sell for around $380 framed using my pricing scheme.

8×12 is a nice size (close to 8×10) and allows people with limit space to exhibit the images. 5×7 is an interesting size as well.

Post card size is nice too as people are usually very willing to buck up for some well printed postcards next to the cash register in an art gallery or bookstore.

post card size is useless for fine art prints. I generally try to stick to 18×24 or 24×36, although I am thinking of 12×18 would work, just wanted to get some opinions

Dunno, bought some at Prairie Light down in Longview. I hung a series of them using bluetac to good effect. When I get some more dosh I’ll buy full size images of a few of them. At least this way the artist gets some money and god know, some is better than bupkis.

You in YYC?
