My favorite photographers that touched my soul…

Gordon Parks is one of my favorite photographers. He documented black America in a time that was still very dark in southern America with Jim Crow Laws. Growing up in Alabama I read about slavery and segregation. But I also had the pleasure of asking my grandparents about their experiences. I got to hear about it from someone first hand and not in a text book.

When I got into photography and found out about Gordon Parks I followed his work closely and especially his work in the south and on black America.

What photographers truly inspired you and actually touched you soul?

Totally agree. Parks was a true Renaissance man.
