Keep or ditch? Can I save this picture?

Hi,

The other day I took this picture. However, I messed up my settings so my iso ski rocketed.

I tried to smooth things out in lightroom but didn’t fully work out. I could make it a b&w picture with grain to masque the distortion but I do like the colors.

What do you think? Can I safe this picture?

Or ditch it?:-)

I think the grain fits the photo. Looks good to me.

The extra detail would have been nice, especially if you were going to print. That said, keep the grain, with so many great visually interlocking horizontals and verticals any smoothing would blow the detail in the brick and iron work. The yellow and red with the green cast between can hold their own. Very nice image.

Thank you, appreciate the feedback! I think I will keep the grain, or smooth it just a little bit.

I totally agree with Dickie Taylor’s comments on the colours. Overall, I like what you have done in post production and prefer the first photo.  I like the crop and less grainy look. But-and this may be my device- there seems to be some colour botching on the concrete in the first photo which is much more subtle in the second (original). Is it just me? I wonder if that can be fixed…? Regardless, nice photos! I

Hi Geoff, thanks for your feedback! Indeed I see the botched colors as well, it is less in the original and think it is caused by the smoothing process of LR. I will decrease the smoothiness to see if that helps. Cheers!
