DSLRguide on Youtube offers up a lot of information on these subjects. I personally do not have a favorite.

Mine’s probably: (in no particular order)
1. La La Land (I like the punchy colour pallete, and the compositions).
2. The Shining (The twins are a reference to Diane Arbus’ work which is one of Kubrick’s influence on his early days of photography).
3. Interstellar (Breathtaking, enough said).
4. Inception (Nolan at his finest).
5. My Neighbor Totoro (The landscape shots are amazing, as expected from Ghibli).

La La Land has a great cinematography.

The Shining and most Kubrick’s films have an excellent composition, like Barry Lyndon (excellent natural lights use) and 2001.

Have you seen “Moonlight”? It was nice!

I haven’t, but added to my must watch list. Thanks for your recommendation!

And yes, most Kubrick’s films have an excellent composition indeed. The space waltz still gives me shivers lol.

I’ve seen a film from the 80s recently which surprised me a lot in terms of photography. It was “Paris, Texas” by Wim Wenders. Great photography captured on film.
