Just wanted to start a thread on all of your favorite films to shoot with. Mines is Superia 400 and Fujicolor, due to the ease of access of these films. I also like Tri-X and HP-5 I’d like to try the JCH film sometime soon!

Hp5 at 800 or 1600 is really nice. Lately I’ve been shooting Kentmere films though. The 100 speed film shot at 50 (not pulled) looks really really nice. But it’s a major pain in the ass trying to shoot street with 50 speed film. The results are great though.
Yea I like Hp5 and Tri-x pushed to 1600! Shooting anything under iso 400 for street is hard for me.
I really like the look of portra 400 pushed to 1600. The colors are nice to me. Another question.. do you all save all your negatives once you have them scanned?
Just curious why you shred them? What’s the worst you think could happen?
Vista 200 and 400. Fomapan 100 for bw. I have a mix of other bw films to try so my opinion is subject to change in a heart beat.
I’ve only been back with film for a short time and I’m learning that lighting and subject matter effects my choice of film selection
attached photo is portra 160 pushed/dev @ 400
My favourite colour is Velvia 50…. love the colours but also love to shoot slide so I can frame the positive and take a look sometimes.
I’m always loving Portra, Ektar, and HP5+ oh and also Cine films too!
Main color film is Portra 400, 160. Tried Fuji Pro 400h, on my Rolleicord to see what all the hype was about, not a fan. On a recent trip to Chicago I packed a roll of Ektar 100. ! Fantastic other than the skin tones, let me know if anyone has tips on this. Made good shots out of bright mid day light.
Ektar below.
I like Fuji Pro 400H but haven’t tried Portra so can’t compare. Also happy with consumer films such as Fuji Superia, Fuji Industrial or Kodak Color Plus for everyday purposes.
I agree that 400 iso and below is often difficult for street photography though, especially when over-exposing a stop or so to be on the safe side with negative film.
Hardly ever shot black and white film since high-school but may give it a go again at some point.
I share films on online TV applications at Mobdro 2020: https://mobdroportugal.net/

I was recommended Tri-X right off the bat and I can’t wait to see what I’ve got once it’s developed. I’ve heard good things all around about that film. How forgiving is high ASA film like the Ilford Delta 3200? All the films I’ve picked up so far have been ASA 400 since I feel like it’s adequate for most situations, though I’d like to try my hand at some low light photography in the future. 55 mm f/1.2 SSC and ASA 3200+ film could probably yield some great results.

This black and white film has a large grain structure, producing pleasing sharp snaps with an unmistakably analogue look. Perfect for street photography and any situation that is action-packed! Viva TV Apk Download
