Mitya Trotsky was born in Moscow, Russia in 1971.
He began taking photographs at the age of nine after his parents bought him a Smena - a low-cost 35 mm film camera manufactured in the Soviet Union by the LOMO factory.
Mitya studied history, visual anthropology, acting, film and theatre directing. He has over twenty years experience in film and television production.
In 2014 he embarked on a new career in photography. He is currently based in Miami, FL.
